Sheldon/South O’Brien managed one win in three wrestling duals at a quad meet hosted by Westwood December 14 at Sloan. The Orabs began with a 54-24 victory over Denison-Schelswig but that was followed by a 70-12 defeat at the hands of Sergeant Bluff-Luton. Sheldon/South O’Brien closed out its evening with a narrow 42-39 loss to the host Rebels.
Registering pins in the win over the Monarchs were Josh Hoffman at 106 pounds, Anthony Escobar at 132, Coy De Boer at 138, Cason Johannes at 152, Jordon Jenness at 160 and Kaedon Louscher at 285. Winning by forfeit to account for the remaining Orab points were Eddie Millan at 145, Jarrett Roos at 170 and Carter Wohlert at 220. Roos and Wohlert were the only individual winners in the loss to Sergeant Bluff-Luton with both victories coming by fall.
Zach Brinkman pinned his Westwood opponent at 195 pounds. Hoffman, Escobar, DeBoer and Johannes also won by fall against the Rebels. Wohlert won by decision and Roos by forfeit.
