Hinton drilled 11 three-point baskets to fuel a 61-51 War Eagle Conference victory over South O’Brien January 24 at Paullina. With the loss the Wolverines dipped to 4-3 in conference play.
South O’Brien was led by Derek Paulsen with 19 points, Jaden Kreber with 12 and Brody Van Beek with 11. The Blackhawks, who improved to 12-2 with the win, got 22 points from Karver DeGroot who hit six three-pointers. Logan Kempema added three more treys to finish with 14 points.
