PRIMGHAR, IOWA PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE TO AMEND THE 2024 CITY CODE

Public Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Primghar, Iowa will convene and conduct a public hearing on October 14, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at the City of Primghar City Hall 160 S. Hayes Avenue, Primghar, Iowa 51245. This public hearing is to consider amendments to Title II, Chapter 3 Water Services, Section 9.07.1. Meter Read and Title II, Chapter 4 Electric Utility, Section 10.13.1. Meter Read. Both sections currently require water meters to be read on or about the 3rd day of each month. The proposed amendments would change the meter read date for each of sections to on or about the 10th – 15th day of each month. If you have questions concerning the proposed rezoning being requested, or if you require special accommodations to attend the public hearing, you may contact Jaynee Rushton, City Clerk/Administrator at City Hall or by phone at 712-957-2435, weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Copies of the proposed ordinance will be available for public review in the office of the City Clerk at City Hall. All interested parties are welcome and encouraged to attend. You are also invited to attend this meeting in person to provide comments, or you may submit written comments to the City Hall at the above address to be read at the Council public hearing.
