They Royals of MMCRU claimed victory at South O’Brien’s Competition Gym. The 4 set match ended with a 3-1 win for MMCRU.
The host Wolverines opened the action by dedication it’s new 12’x18’ flag, a feature added by the American Legion membership of Paullina, Primghar and Sutherland.
The Wolverines won the opening set 20-25. MMCRU swept the next 3 sets, 25-15, 25-17 and 25-16.
The leaderboard for MMCRU shows Junior Tia Tentinger with 35 assists per 8.8, and 3 blocks. Sophomore Peyton Busch scored on 2.5 kills and 1.5 ace serves out of 4 attempts. Junior Ember Staver’s 17 digs set up MMCRU plays.
South O’Brien’s freshman Greta Hustedt gave 23 assists per 5.8. She also served .3 aces from the line out of 3 attempts. Senior Chloe Hustedt proved a powerful hitter sending 2.5 attacks into kills. Sophomore Tori Schueller is credited with 3 blocks and sophomore Cassidy Horstmann got deep with 9 digs.
