O’Brien County Farm Bureau Honored for Excellence
The O’Brien County Farm Bureau was recognized as an “Outstanding County Farm Bureau” during Iowa Farm Bureau Federation’s 106th annual meeting, held Dec. 10-11 in Des Moines.
This designation is awarded to Farm Bureaus that connect with community members and elected officials about today’s family farm practices and engage in local, philanthropic activities.
“Our strength as an organization comes from the dedication of our county members,” said Brent Johnson, Iowa Farm Bureau president. “Their advocacy and commitment to agriculture are the foundation of thriving rural communities and the essence of grassroots leadership.”
Karen Appleton, President of the O’Brien County Farm Bureau accepted the award on behalf of the county board of directors. The presentation was made by Brent Johnson (l) President of the Iowa Farm Bureau and Matt Schuiteman, District 3 Director (R) .
The O’Brien County Farm Bureau boasts over 1,100 members and has an office in Primghar . Additionally, there are two Farm Bureau Financial Service offices in the county with Agent Dani Rehder in Primghar and Agent Randy Kruse in Sheldon.
