Although the weather kept the Wolverines from facing off with Trinity Christian at Hull on Monday, May 6, the teams used scores from the front 9 of the War Eagle Conference Meet to determine the winner and medalists. As a result, South O’Brien defeated Trinity 179-206, and South O’Brien captured 3 of the 4 medals. SO’ junior Derek Paulsen was medalist with a 38 and SO’ sophomore Alex Griebel took runner-up honors with a 43. Dustin Hoksbergen from Trinity shot a 46, slipping into 3rd place. SO’ junior Jace Kleinwolterink shot a 49 to earn the 4th place medal. Even though we didn’t play it out, we are glad to get the win to end up in the middle of a tough War Eagle Conference. The Wolverines ended the regular season 10-10 in dual meets.
