The South O’Brien track and field girls finished on top in Class C at the Lady Orab Invitational held April 17 at Sheldon. The Wolverines’ 122 points were more than enough to win one of the three classes of competition at the event.
Teaming up to capture the sprint medley relay were Kelsee Warnke, Camryn Strubbe, Karlee Warnke and Taja Conley. Also finishing first was the shuttle hurdle relay group of Marissa Ebel, Abigail Nelson, Tawni Wulf and Addison Hedberg. In the individual events, Takara Conley won the 3000 meters and Maddie Johnson took first in the shot put.
Relays running their way to second place were the 4×200 of Maddy Friedrichsen, Avery Halverson, Hedberg and Kelsee Warnke, the 4×400 of Taja Conley, Strubbe, Halverson and Takara Conley and the distance medley of Strubbe, Karlee Warnke, Taja Conley and Takara Conley. Also finishing second was Tatiana Conley in the 400 meter hurdles.
Placing third were Karlee Warnke in both the long jump and the 200 meters, Taylor Wulf in the 800 meters, McKenna Wallin in the discus and Halverson, Strubbe, Hedberg and Kelsee Warnke in the 4×100 relay.
