The South O’Brien Girls Golf Team faced Remsen St. Mary’s on their home course in a War Eagle Conference dual on Friday, April 14. RSM took the win, 224-235, carding their best team score of the season.
Bella Arens from RSM took medalist honors with a 48. Runner-up went to South O’Brien senior Sam Wilbur, who shot a 50. Zajara Galles of RSM carded a 53 for 3rd place and South O’Brien senior Whitney Einck took 4th with a 58.
Other cards for the Wolverines came from freshman Lindsey Einck, 60, freshman Chloe Hustedt, 67, and sophomore Addison Brueggeman, 71. The Wolverines stand at 2-2 in WEC duals on the season.
“We had some positives tonight, but we just got in trouble with some trees and penalties,” said Wolverine coach Kris Faust. “This is a resilient group of golfers. They will come back strong.”
