Hudson Oolman, Leo Sells, Dante Johnson, and Bryce Rassmussen represented South O’Brien in the State FFA Poultry Judging Career Development Event. Contest ctivities included: placing classes of live poultry; placing and grading classes of ready-to-cook poultry; grading classes of egg interiors and exteriors; identifying and grading further processed poultry products; and a poultry production exam. There were 348 members competing from 94 chapters. South O’Brien placed 5th overall, 1st in shelled egg judging, 4th in FPP, 7th in RTCP and 10th in the exam. Hudson Oolman placed 7th overall as an individual. “It was good to be at in person contests again, and it was nice to see that our hard work paid off, as we placed higher than in previous years,” Hudson said.
