The Paullina Chamber of Commerce held their annual meeting on February 20th at J-D Tavern in Paullina. The celebratory event was catered by Mill Creek Concessions. A brief business meeting was held to elect Laura Palmer and Mary Iverson to the Board of Directors, and to approve the 2020 Treasurer’s Report.
President Nelda Werkmeister thanked the members present for everything that was accomplished in 2020. Despite COVID-19 challenges, events were not canceled but instead modified: Easter Egg Hunt, Gemboree, Fall Festival and Hometown Christmas. According to feedback from participants, people were grateful for something to look forward to and the opportunity to safely celebrate. Many, many volunteer hours and resources were required.
Supporting our local businesses is essential to keeping our community viable. The Paullina Chamber continues to explore and implement ways to do this. Citizens of Paullina and other communities who visit, work and shop in Paullina are much appreciated!
