Annual Bald Eagle Watch at Prairie Heritage Center

The Little Sioux River Valley is a great place to view Bald Eagles. It is quite the sight to see the majestic Bald Eagle soaring overhead or perching in a tree. Join us on Saturday, March 5 at the Prairie Heritage Center for an enjoyable morning of viewing eagles, participating in activities, and learning more about our national symbol.
The annual Bald Eagle Watch is a come-and-go program from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The O’Brien County Conservation staff and other volunteers will be on hand to help you spot and identify eagles and other birds. You can enjoy different hands-on activities, both indoors and outdoors, for people of all ages at the Prairie Heritage Center.
At 11:00 a.m., Kay Neumann, the Executive Director from SOAR (saving our avian resources), will share an educational program about the Bald Eagle and raptors. The presentation will also feature one of SOAR’s non-releasable education ambassador Bald Eagles. You won’t want to miss this fantastic presentation! This is a must attend event! Bring the whole family for a morning full of learning and fun. Contact the Prairie Heritage Center at 712-295-7200 for more information about this great event.
