South O’Brien girls and boys golfers win over HMS

The Wolverine Girls and Boys Golf Teams both defeated Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn at Sanborn Golf Course on Thursday, April 18, in a War Eagle Conference dual. It was another cold and windy night for golf, and the course offered some challenges due to recent rains. With the wins over HMS, the boys are currently 4-2 in WEC duals, and the girls are 3-3.
Although HMS took the top two medals, the SO’ girls took the win from HMS by five strokes. Freshman Raegan Plagge led the Wolverines with a 57, taking the 3rd place medal. Raegan tied her personal best tonight and continues to show her competitive spirit. Sophomore Lindsey Einck took the 4th place medal with a 58. Even though Lindsey struggled some tonight, she found a way to get on the medal board. Einck continues to lead the WEC in points earned in duals. Junior Shayli Johnson shot a personal-best 63, and Chloe Hustedt carded a 69. Their scores helped seal the South O’Brien win over HMS.
